What Is Liposuction? Understanding the Procedure
Liposuction — sometimes referred to as "charbi nikalne ki surgery" in Urdu — is a surgical technique for removing localized deposits of fat that haven't responded to diet and exercise. It's one of the most performed cosmetic procedures worldwide, and also one of the most misunderstood.
What It Actually Removes
Liposuction removes fat cells from specific, targeted areas — commonly the abdomen, flanks, thighs, or arms — through small incisions, using a thin cannula to break up and suction out fat.
What It Is Not
Liposuction is a contouring procedure, not a weight-loss treatment. It works best on patients who are already close to a stable, healthy weight but have stubborn, localized fat deposits — not as a substitute for diet, exercise, or significant weight loss.

Is the Result Permanent?
The fat cells removed during liposuction don't come back. However, significant future weight gain can still cause remaining fat cells — in the treated area or elsewhere on the body — to enlarge, which is why maintaining a stable weight afterward matters.
